Terms of use
These terms form an agreement between you and Utluma Technologies covering your use of the Utluma application. Please read them before using the app.
Acceptance of these terms
By installing or using Utluma, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app and remove it from your device.
Licence to use the app
Utluma is proprietary software. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. No ownership is transferred to you, and all rights not expressly granted here are reserved.
What you may not do
You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app; modify, translate, or build derivative works from it; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it except where applicable law expressly permits; remove or obscure any notice of ownership; or use the app to break the law, to disturb others, or to attempt unauthorised access to our systems.
Intellectual property
The app, its source code, design, name, and logo are owned by Utluma Technologies and protected by copyright and other laws. Third party libraries bundled with the app remain the property of their respective authors and are provided under their own licences, which you can read on the open source licences page.
Quran and religious content
We take great care with the Quranic text, translations, transliterations, and other religious content in the app, but we provide them for personal use without any guarantee of accuracy or completeness. The app is a study aid, not a replacement for a printed mushaf, a qualified teacher, or scholarly guidance. Prayer times and qibla directions are calculated estimates that depend on your device sensors and the location data you provide, so verify them locally before relying on them. For anything you are unsure about, please consult a printed mushaf or a knowledgeable scholar.
Your recordings and data
Any recordings, notes, and progress you create in the app remain yours. They are stored on your device, except recitations you publish as a Public Share. You are responsible for their content and for keeping your own backups; we cannot recover them if your device is lost or reset, or if the app is uninstalled. By publishing a Public Share, you grant us permission to store that audio clip and present it to other users until you withdraw it, and you affirm that its content is an appropriate recitation of the Quran. We may hide shares that are reported and violate these terms.
Third-party services and links
The app relies on third-party services for prayer time data and content downloads, and it may open links to external websites. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Availability and changes
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the app or any of its services at any time. Some features require an internet connection, a supported device, or system permissions, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error free operation.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements or that it will run without interruption or error.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Utluma Technologies is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, nor for lost data, lost profits, or missed religious obligations arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Termination
This licence ends automatically if you breach these terms, and you may end it at any time by uninstalling the app. The provisions on intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the competent courts of Indonesia, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the app develops. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and continuing to use the app after a revision means you accept the updated terms.
